Feeling Terrible..

Almost after several years, I had returned to blogging..  Feeling terrible & nasty..  Amidst this corona jolt, I had heard about some losses of life which I cannot digest at the moment..  A close cousin (Shri Balaji) who was young and my family doctor (Shri Dr J Balasubramaniam) who was like god for our family..

Shri Balaji was just 54-55 years old and closely related to me,  I had spent a lot of time talking with him..  He likes to speak and I used to spend a lot of time with him..  Can’t believe that he is no more..

I don’t know how many appreciate the value of a family physician,  Dr J Balasubramaniam (JB as he was fondly called) was far more closer to us than being just a family doctor.  Almost everyone in our neighborhoods considered him part of their own family..  He had his Sadhabishekam quite recently.  I used to enquire about him almost every time I made a phone call to my mom..    He knew me by name, he was the only one to call me by my full name..  I’m sure he meant so much for all of us..

I’m sure all of West Mambalam wished that he lived for a few more years..

I’m almost in tears and don’t have anything to say..  My sincere condolences to both these families..

I’m praying for these two noble souls to rest in peace..

A-PDF Password Security

I have been researching on the internet on securing PDF documents with encryption, copy/print protection and time based expiry.  I came across A-PDF password security which is intuitive and feature rich for a decent price.  A-PDF is quite effective and responsive.

I recommend this app for users who are looking for a quick and easy app for protecting valuable research / business content from being copied and distributed unreservedly.

They also provide a free license for people who promote this app.  Enjoy this benefit and let me know if this is useful.

Hard to say “good bye” to true leaders

These may look like lines of divine discourse..  But these are some of my thoughts when I think of someone who made considerable impact as leaders in my life..  (Not any one in particular)..

It’s difficult for anyone to imagine when leaders like MG departed, the amount of impact they would have had on the society, emotions of followers & true supporters of their ideas should have been un-questionable..
Everyone experiences influence of true leaders in their lifetimes, but many fail to record how one would feel during the absence of their true leader.
I would consider anyone to be a leader who have these traits..

Who know, appreciate & emit motivation through their oration & action”.
Connect to followers / supporters whether they are near or far”.
Being followed without being questioned.. Even if questioned, having more than just convincing skills.
“Who always felt & made followers feel their self-worth”.

Missing you all..

A Priceless Diamond on Indian Cricket’s Crown

Rahul Dravid’s speech on the Bradman Oration at War Memorial – as rightly recommended by TSV, was certainly a speech of gold. Though fellow cricketers, commentators, writers & other celebrities have gone into raptures over this, this is my share of Joy!

The oration was flowing like a sparkling stream of water, touching hearts of all Indians, cricket lovers & modest human beings. The order of events covered in the oration showed that the speech was crafted and not drafted. The prolonged speech was delicately maneuvered by a touch of humor & character. The delivery of the values to every listener was clear like a crystal, establishing inspiration over 40 minutes of wisdom, character & simplicity.

With the kind of fanatical following for cricket I had during my adolescent time, we were a few souls trying to slice every corner of the sports columns from a dozen dailies, getting back to the television sets for any news on cricket, discussing the choice of players for the oncoming tours. During those times we had hours & hours of debates on the results, the game, team, players, commentators, pitches & even more.

Our gang was meticulously following International Cricket, ODI & Test formats, every major tour of every country was tracked to the full. Suddenly I realize, I had not been tracking cricket in any form since the world cup victory. As Rahul appropriately indicated, may be its due to the over dose of the game in the 3 formats & the paralyzing analysis in the media.

After viewing this video, I really felt that cricket is still a gentlemen’s game and gentlemen are still gentle. Thank you Dravid!

Adhesiveness of Water.. Contd..

Inertia rules, it has been multiple weeks since I wrote the earlier one on my gym trial..  It has been more than couple of weeks since I gave up working out..

I keep finding reasons for not doing an act, frustration & pains to keep up hassles with work etc.  Once again back to my haphazard ways.. Losing focus has been my main problem..

Will try to address that..  Will take stock after a couple of weeks..
